Submit An Abstract

SWPA will accept proposals for the 2017 SWPA convention until November 1.

All abstracts (SWPA and all affiliate organizations) will use the online abstract submission process available in the Members Only Area.

At least one author for SWPA and Psi Chi abstracts must be a current member of SWPA (professional or student) in the database at the time of abstract submission. This means that at least one author has paid the member registration fee at the time of submission. All authors must have member profiles. Your member registration status will be shown after you login to the Members Only Area. Follow the instructions on the web pages “Create New Profile” and “Pay Member Registration” prior to going through the “Submit Abstract” steps. Authors cannot be added after the submission deadline.

Authors / co-authors for abstract submissions to affiliate organizations (SAMR, SCBNA, SWToP) can be SWPA members or non-members. Depending on the affiliate organization, they may not need to have SWPA member registration fees currently paid in order to submit abstracts to the affiliate. See affiliate organization submission guidelines for their requirements.

After logging in as a member or a non-member, follow the online steps for abstract submission. There will be a step to indicate the organization to which you desire your abstract to be submitted (SWPA, Psi Chi, SAMR, SCBNA, SWToP), and the program chair for that organization will receive your abstract for review. The SWPA program chair will coordinate with the affiliate organization chairs to build the final program for the SWPA convention.

Prior to submitting your abstract, make sure you have read and followed the submission guidelines posted on this web site. Different types of presentations (talks/posters, symposia, SWPA competitions) have different abstract guidelines.
